Inside Application Engineer for Keysight Technologies and SWE RMS Collegiate Liaison Co-Chair
First and foremost my mother is an engineer in the same field as I am and I thought.. “why not?” when applying to college at CU Boulder. The first few years I wasn’t sure if I wanted to stay in engineering because I didn’t find any passion in what I was learning. Two years of college passed and then I got my first internship where my task was to travel around the country (40 cities in 7 months!!) working with customers giving presentations. Through that internship I learned that I really enjoyed being technical in a more social environment. This made me realize that there are many jobs out there that are available for engineers that don’t have to be super R&D focused. A degree in engineering opened up that avenue for me!
